For that person who is always on the go, healthy choices are important to make, but it’s not always easy to follow through.
Thankfully with the invention of the magic bullet and a growing community of health-savvy foodies, the internet has become a regularly-sourced tool for fitness advice and smoothie recipes.
We wanted to share a few recipes we discovered and tweaked that have been tried, tested and Nuda approved!
The first two smoothie recipes have become our personal favourites. Nothing beats a smoothie first thing in the morning when you’re groggy and desperately seeking energy. The best part of drinking these smoothies in the morning, is that you’re feeding your body much needed nutrients, while hydrating after a long night’s rest.
Pro tip: drinking warm to hot water first thing in the morning with lemon and cayenne is something we swear by. After that, drink a full glass of water to help flush out your system. Making this a habit will help to speed your metabolism and assist with the elimination of unwanted waste. Think of it as a friendly, cleansing wake-up call for your digestive system. You could swap the cayenne for Turmeric for anti inflammatory benefits, and add some honey to sweeten the brew.
Morning Greens
Nutrient-dense rich greens are exactly what your body craves – whether you realize it or not. This smoothie is something our Editor-in-Chief aims to drink at least 3 times per week – and she swears by the benefits.
