This year marks the 25th anniversary for Clubhouse La Grille. In honour of this anniversary, McCormick arranged a special afternoon filled with flavour, fun and spices.
Since we were so impressed with the spread, we wanted to share these fresh and tasty ideas with you!
The event was held at the Ol’ Steam Whistle Brewery here in Toronto. The room quickly filled up with food lovers – drawn by the linger smell of BBQ. Divided by stationaries, each chef standing at their post patiently awaited to uncover some of this year’s summer forecasted BBQ trends. But before scrolling down to check out what these chefs had in store, how about starting with simple mouth watering appetizers?
Step One: Bacon
First on the menu, these simple bite-size ice-cream bacon cups. Yes that’s right, bacon ice-cream!! Topped off with a cherry tomato. Delicious!
Bite-Size Everything
Want to avoid brain freeze this summer? Who needs a Popsicle when you can have Chinese eggplant on a stick sprinkled with sesame seeds. Yum!
Drinks for your Summer BBQ Party
Tired of Sangria? Want to Spice up your summer BBQ party? Become the hostess with the mostess this year by serving drinks that are filled with a little more flavour.
How? By offering a customizable build-your-own Caesar Bar. From pickled beans and asparagus, to sausages and beef jerky – you name it, the sky’s the limit!
Put Some Dill on it
So for all you crazy BBQ chicken fans, how about adding a little dill? Adding Dill to the mix will provide a tangy taste to those chicken wings.

- Chicken Breast
- Montreal Chicken Steak Spice
- Dijon Mustard
- Beer
To begin, you want to mix beer, Dijon mustard, and the Montreal Steak Spice in a bowl and you’re going to want to let the chicken marinate for about 30 minutes.
Once that’s done, your ready to start grilling. Try reverse siring for added flavour.

For dessert, Nutella Stuffed Balls, topped with Mini Marshmallows.
