We recently took a few trips to our Nation’s Capital for the jet-set travel experience with Corporate Stays.
Our dedicated concierge Angele was incredibly helpful and managed to make us feel at home during our weekend trips, where we stayed at the 50 Laurier East and 169 Lisgar apartments.
Here’s an overview of our stay with Corporate Stays and why they might be right for you!
Nudabite’s Review of Corporate Stays Ottawa
50 Laurier East
Our first weekend was spent at 50 Laurier East, which was conveniently located within a 10-minute walk to the Rideau Center, Byward market, and boutiques.
If a little rest and relaxation are what you’re looking for during your Ottawa stay, consider yourself in luck! The building features its very own steam room and swimming pool, which are some very sweet perks.
If you’re a fan of natural light (like we are), the apartments at 50 Laurier East have large windows that will illuminate your room with great city views.
Welcome notes
Upon entry to the building we were highly impressed by the lobby – it was gorgeous! The welcome note and artfully crafted towel swan and elephants were a nice touch, and the unit was incredibly clean! The furnishings were modern, beds were comfy and it really felt like a home away from home.
169 Lisgar
Our apartment was perfectly situated for two nights during the 2017 JUNO Awards weekend. The compact living space boasted a modern interior that was clean and comfortable. Located across from City Hall and only a few minutes away from Confederation Park and Rideau Canal, we took full advantage of this convenience.
Since we had several events to attend in the area for the JUNOs, this Corporate Stays apartment was perfectly located just far enough from the main streets that we were able to sleep through the night and recharge for a weekend filled with work and adventure. Several restaurants are within walking distance, but if you’d rather cook your own meals, the unit includes a full kitchen! Visit the grocery store 2 minutes up the street and get cookin’!
If cooking isn’t your thing, we recommend checking out the restaurants in the neighbourhood – and there are many to choose from!
Things to keep in mind
We would recommend that you pack your own conditioner and coffee as they did not supply either in the apartments.
While we didn’t take advantage of the pool and gym access, we recommend that you do so! We’re still kicking ourselves over this one.
