Fripe Fabrique, located at 388 Saint-Zotique Est (between Jean-Talon and Beaubien metro), is an original and fresh addition to the Montreal shopping and design scene. This little store not only offers vintage pieces, but also local and international designer wear. And, as if that wasn’t enough, Fripe Fabrique transforms itself into a DIY atelier for a variety of sewing workshops. If you’d like to polish up your sewing skills, or even learn the basics, this is the place to start! The store features six beautiful sewing machines as well as a friendly (and bilingual) teacher. The workshops are advertised on the store’s facebook page, so check it out to stay up to date with the up-coming classes.
Check out some of the photos from the shoot!
Although the store only recently turned one year old, it has already firmly established itself both locally and beyond La Petite-Patrie through its Etsy page. The online store ships worldwide, but if you’re in Montreal, I highly recommend that you stop by in person. Not only will you save on shipping cost, but you’ll probably end up finding another treasure or two! Plus, you’ll most likely meet the store owner, Michelle, who can assist you with all of your styling questions. Get out of your comfort zone and mix up a little vintage in your look!
Fripe Fabrique just launched its Autumn and Winter collection, which features warm jackets, comfy leggings, and chic dresses for the (shhh) holidays. I had the pleasure of being part of the fun and crazy photo shoot, which took place (in part) in the adorable cupcake store next door, Les Petits Gâteaux de Marie-Jo. People, if you want a serious cupcake, come here (there are even beer cupcakes- need I say more?). The talented photographer, Nadya, did an excellent job at transforming this humble blogger into a credible model! The Fripe Fabrique team truly radiates positive energy.
