Vicolo Montreal Italian Resto-Bar

Eat, drink, repeat. It is after-all, the Italian way.

Montreal has a brand-new restaurant in the heart of Montreal’s downtown financial district, and this one just raised the bar.  Vicolo – Italian for back alley (hey now…) greeted media with an elaborate display of cured meats, fresh bread, figs and the best variety of cheese I’ve sampled in a while. Let’s not forget the variety of signature cocktails and most impressive variety of red wine that satisfied my pallet.

The Bar

Behind the bar, you can expect an impressive selection of mambo-Italiano-friendly cocktails, courtesy of Lawrence Picard of Nectar Mixologie. My tastebuds were treated to Il Vicolo, which was flavourful and hit the spot. We hear the Earl Gray Martini is a popular choice.

Now hear me when I say this (or write it, rather) but it has been ages since I’ve enjoyed a glass of red wine that didn’t leave me suffering with a headache, but I am thrilled to report that was not the case on Wednesday. The wine was spot on and I enjoyed the evening headache-free. #Hallelujah

Mangia Bene

The chic grand opening celebration welcomed fashion and foodie media alike, along with tastemakers and socialites. Guests enjoyed the cornucopia of antipasti, while vibe-ing to the beats spun by DJ Abeille. We won’t confirm whether or not a dance party broke out on the main floor by the end of the evening, but you can take a guess.

The modern Italian restaurant and bar brings rustic charm to modern style, and needless to say, it’s quite the lively destination. Situated on René-lévesque at the corner of Bishop in the heart of downtown Montreal, it’s the perfect spot to meet up with friends, dine with colleagues, or grab dinner before attending a Habs game.

She is Queen. Jillian of TBPR reigns with her team in a group-shot minutes before the event.

This incredible event was hosted by Tracey Brooke Public Relations (TBPR). Jillian and her team of PR superstars completely outdid themselves, so thank-you for putting together such a memorable event.

If you procrastinate as much as I do, and haven’t booked your Christmas party, I highly suggest booking at Vicolo. Check them out online, on social media; Facebook , Instagram and Twitter @vicolomtl.
